Visualization is an activity that all of us do every day. We visualize, or more correctly, daydream about the things we wish to have in our lives.
We carry in our minds mental images of what we wish to have or achieve and the mental images of the things we fear.
We visualize constantly, whether we are aware of the fact or not. This activity has an important place in the life of everyone.
Whenever you think or plan what to wear at work, at a party, or on the beach, your imagination is in action. You use your imagination to visualize yourself wearing the clothes you are thinking about.
Where Do You Use Your Imagination?
- When you set out to go to some familiar place, such as your office, the grocery, a shopping mall, or a friend’s house, you unconsciously see the place and the route to it.
- Before going to a place you have never been, you plan your way beforehand. How do you do it? You use your imagination and ability to visualize. You visualize the road and the streets you have to pass through. You plan the way with the help of visualization.
- You use your imagination when seeking a solution to a problem by visualizing various possible scenarios.
- When something is bothering you, you often see in your mind’s eye the unpleasant situation and might even suffer, as if you are in a real situation.
- Suppose somebody asks you for directions to a certain address. You describe the route, while at the same time, you see it in your mind, in your imagination.
You use your imagination and visualization whenever you bake a cake, buy a new pair of trousers, redecorate your home, decide which car to buy, plan your vacation, tell a story, fix something at home, or speak about a movie you have seen.
You just consciously or unconsciously see in your imagination what you are going to do. You see the steps you need to take and, sometimes, even feel the pleasure, fun, or discomfort of the situation you are visualizing.
Daydreaming Is a Form of Visualization
What about daydreams?
What is daydreaming? It is the act of imagining scenes and actions in the movie of the mind. While daydreaming, the daydream might seem real to us. We might often repeat it because we enjoy it.
If we repeat the same daydream over a period of time, the mental image becomes engraved on our mind, we start believing it can come true, and we begin seeking ways to make it come true.
Our daydreams can become true, especially when strong emotions and desire are involved because they awaken motivation and lead to action.
You need to be careful of what you daydream about. When positive daydreams materialize, they can improve your life. However, daydreams can also be about unpleasant events, difficulties, trouble, and self-pity. If we repeat them in our minds, they might also materialize, creating unpleasantness and unhappiness.
Strive to be more aware of your daydreams, and do not allow your mind to daydream about what you do not want and about the things that make you feel bad.
What We Visualize Affects Our Attitude, Moods, and State of Mind
You have to be very careful with what enters your mind. Thoughts are like guests that visit your mind. They bring with them positive or negative feelings. Do you allow everyone to enter your home, even people you don’t know? You certainly do not do that. This should also happen with your thoughts.
When the same thoughts frequent the mind, they become permanent residents.
Your mind is your private home. You should be careful with whom you let in. This might not be easy for a beginner, but with some perseverance, you can improve your ability to decide what thoughts to let enter your mind and what thoughts to reject.
You should be aware of thoughts and mental images that occupy our mind, especially the ones associated with deep feelings, as they are the strongest and most effective.
Feelings give power to your thoughts. The stronger the feelings, the stronger your thought becomes, and the stronger its effect on you.
This is why you should choose positive and happy thoughts and avoid negative and unhappy thoughts.
Using Visualization and Imagination to Improve Your Life
Is it possible to use visualization, imagination, and daydreaming to improve your life in a practical way?
Yes, it is possible, through the process of manifesting, creative visualization and the law of attraction.
Creative visualization is the process of visualizing images in the mind, and through natural, mental laws, bring it into manifestation on the material plane.
Visualizing and expecting an event, action, or object is more than just an act of imagination. It is an act of creation. It is an act of controlled daydreaming.
When we daydream, we let our mind roam where it wants. With creative visualization, we lead the mind and the imagination where we want. That’s why it controlled imagination, not drifting imagination.
Deciding upon something we really want to happen and visualizing it with concentration, faith, and desire set great powers into action. Creative visualization is a powerful tool that we need to know how to use correctly and positively.
The thoughts that pass through our minds build our reality. Through training and practice, it is possible to learn to accept, think, and visualize only positive thoughts and, therefore, attract happiness, success, health, and love into our lives.
How to Create a New Reality with Visualization
- Do you wish to change your reality.
- Wish to change certain situations in your life?
- Do you want a job, money, or friends?
This is all possible with the help of your imagination and the law of attraction.
There is no need for spells and rituals to use the powers of imagination and visualization effectively.
You have probably used this process, but without knowing what you were doing since it is a simple and natural process.
Whatever you have achieved results from constant thinking, visualizing, and daydreaming.
Thought power, imagination, emotions, and strong intent are the main ingredients for success.
We do mental magic whenever we focus our mind on a particular thought and add emotions and feelings.
Our strong and predominant thoughts have a definite effect on our environment and the people around us. To some extent, we are all magicians, though few realize it and use this power consciously.
To use the power of your imagination consciously and to produce results, you need to follow certain mental laws and use certain visualization techniques. This is quite simple and uncomplicated. You can use these mental powers to make changes in your life and to improve your life. You can use them for simple matters and for bigger goals.
I have been studying this topic for many years and have written a book about it, which explains clearly how to use these mental powers for various goals and tasks.
The book, titled Manifest and Achieve Whatever You Want provides all the information and advice you need, as well as examples and step-by-step guidance.
“You are never given a dream without also being given the power to make it come true. You will have to work for it, however.”
– Richard Bach
“Even if you can’t just snap your fingers and make a dream come true, you can travel in the direction of your dream every day, and you can shorten the distance between the two of you.”
– Douglas Pagels
“Don’t let go of your dreams. If you have determination and belief in your dreams, you will succeed despite your desire to let go.”
– Catherine Pulsifer
